Beautiful view of Wisconsin River. Great sandwhiches. Peaceful dining experience.

The cafe has a beautiful setting overlooking a bend in the Wisconsin River. It is located in an architecturally distinctive building originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, with construction overseen by William Wesley Peters and built by the Kraemer Brothers of Plain, WI. In addition to the great view and architecture, the food is very good with an American menu that has good variety including meat, fish and vegetarian. Pies are excellent. It is my favorite non-Italian restaurant in Wisconsin. Just for comparison, my favorite Italian is Biaggi's in Middleton/Madison.
