My only suggestion to the owner: please maintain those self-playing instruments. I really had high hopes but most of them are out of tune.
This is very weird place but with full of fun. If you live near the Madison area, you should definitely check this place out. I don't want to spoil too much but to summarize in three words: weird but fun!
Fantastically eclectic attraction. An amazing architectural feat (check out the infinity room for sure, brilliant use of forced perspective.)
The place is huge! Definitely need to ensure you have time to see it all. We only went through two of the three sections and it took over two hours. But it definitely worth seeing. So many cool oddities and attractions to see. Crazy to think someone lived there. It does get warm in the house in the summer, so I'd recommend visiting in fall or spring when it's cooler. A must see!
In order to see the whole thing you apparently have to arrive at least 4 hours before they close, so if you want to see the carousel plan on getting there early.
Absolutely awesome. If you have not been you need to go. Their is soooo much to see. Staff are super friendly and helpful. And everyone else is happy and friendly too. How can you not be in a magical place like this?
Every bit as weird and wonderful as anticipated. We went for the Christmas tour, which was only two sections, but it took us all afternoon. I enjoyed section 1 the most, but some of the animatronics in section 2 were very neat (others were falling apart, but such is life). This is a fun thing to see if you're in the area.
Definitely worth a return visit.
